Townsend Bell has raised over $10 million in the world of professional motorsports for his own racing pursuits, which saw him climb the racing ladder from go karts and racing school to the top levels of open-wheel racing in the United States in just five years. He was the 2001 Indy Lights champion and has competed in the FIA F3000 series, Champ Car and the IndyCar Series as well as previous Formula 1 testing with BAR Honda and Jaguar. He finished fourth in the 2009 Indianapolis 500.

Now a family man content with the occasional one-off race, Townsend realized he could use his talents in sales and marketing to help others. He launched Townsend Bell Sponsorship Coaching in 2009 and is regularly called upon by drivers, team owners and sponsors for his private sponsorship coaching sessions.

In addition to a strong contact base, Townsend makes networking a priority, attending corporate events and trade shows to constantly expand his database to help his clientele with new lead creations and introductions.

He also conducts free sponsorship coaching seminars for several racing series including Skip Barber, Atlantics, Star Mazda, Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup, Grand-Am and Indy Lights as well as the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School and the Road Racing Drivers Club (RRDC)/FIA Motor Sport Safety Development Fund.
