Lotus Motorsports and Alex Job Racing Form Lotus AJR to Compete in American Le Mans Series

HETHEL, ENGLAND; TAVARES, FLA., (Feb. 21, 2012) -  Lotus Motorsports and Alex Job Racing are joining forces to compete for the American Le Mans Series GT (ALMS) championship beginning in 2012.  The team will be known as Lotus Alex Job Racing (AJR).  The factory-endorsed sports car team will focus its primary efforts in North America.

Townsend Bell has developed an accomplished and diverse resume since setting his sights on a racing career in 1996. Powered by determination and a knack for putting deals in place, the California native stepped from driving school to the cockpit of a Formula 1 chassis in a scant seven years. He has received accolades as a color commentator for Formula One and IndyCar Series coverage, became the first American to earn an F3000 podium, has competed at the highest levels of U.S. open-wheel racing in the IndyCar and Champ Car Series and finished fourth in last year’s Indianapolis 500. In 2009, he launched a sponsorship coaching program to help drivers, teams and sponsors maximize their sponsorship efforts.
